# Setting Up Your Wallet Set up your wallet, add a trustline, and swap for FRACTIONS. Follow these steps to create and fund your wallet so you can hold and trade FRACTIONS on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). *** ### 1. Download Xaman Wallet

Scan the QR code or visit the link below to download the wallet.

We recommend using the [**Xaman Wallet**](https://xaman.app/) for a smooth experience, though you’re free to choose any XRPL-compatible wallet. 1. **Install:** Download and open the Xaman Wallet app on your preferred device. 2. **Create a New Wallet:** Follow the app prompts and securely back up your seed phrase. > **Important:** Treat your seed phrase like a password—if you lose it, you lose access to your funds. *** ### 2. On the XRPL, a **trustline** (also known as a trust set) creates a bidirectional link between your wallet and a token issuer. Currently, trustlines are required to hold XRPL tokens.
